A REACTIONARY 12TH GRADER’S COUNCIL ATTEMPTS TO DESTROY ALL STUDENT INITIATIVES
Last year some of us blindly voted a reactionary 12th grade dominated student council that chooses to suffocate any form of student self expression.
-The student Union offers all students, from all grades an alternative to the inefficient 12th graders council by organising the student body into active interest groups. These would be organised by the students who have the highest level of interest and motivation in any given field of interest. These would act to bring people together from all grades who are interested in practising their hobbies together within the school campus.
-The 12th grade council committees are already responsible for organising events and displaying information about the activities they are supposed to offer to the students. However these are created without any notion of the reality of our student body and with a complete disregard of the things that people in other grades (outside 12th) may be interested in doing during their free time at school. This happens sadly because the student council was not created by students but by teachers! Notice nothing ever gets done because the only two reasons the student council exists are:

-To provide CAS hours for 12th graders through the committees
-To make students think they are being represented by two presidents who are meant to delegate, communicate and meet the demands of over 1000 other students to the “School Authorities”

If you wish to organise yourself into interest groups that will allow you to practice your hobby whatever it may be, (apart from maybe hunting and skydiving!) in and during school. If you re sick of doing jack shit during your frees because there’s nowhere else to go and nothing else to do in this damned campus other than being incited to consume in the caf and being forced to study in the mmc…
